History
The road was constructed by British on 1920s. On July 2014, the old stretch of the Bukit Putus (Federal Route 51) was gazetted as a Federal Route 361.
Features
At most section, the Federal Route 361 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h.
