Jake Charlie Nicholson (born 19 July 1992) is an English footballer. He was previously a product of the West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur youth academies. He has also represented England at under-19 level.

Career

He spent time on loan at Finnish club MyPa until July 2011.[2] Nicholson made his senior debut for Spurs in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League qualification play-off against Hearts on 25 August 2011, coming on as a substitute for Jake Livermore in the second half.[3] In June 2013, he was released by Tottenham[4] subsequently joining Greenock Morton in November 2013[5] in a move brokered by his friend, English actor Tamer Hassan.[6]

On 19 February 2014, Nicholson joined AFC Wimbledon after impressing on trial with the club.[7] He scored on his debut on 22 March in a 4–3 win against Cheltenham Town.[8]On 28 May 2014 it was announced that he had signed a new long term contract with The Dons. In January 2015, Jake mutually terminated his contract with The Dons.

International career

Nicholson made his international debut for the England under-19 team in a friendly against the German under-19 squad on 8 February 2011, coming on as a 74th minute substitute for George Thorne in the 1–0 defeat.[9]
