Jahleel Addae (born January 24, 1990) is an American football safety for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Central Michigan University where he was a captain and three-time All Mid-American Conference player. He was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2013.[1]
Professional career
2013 Season
Addae went undrafted and was eventually picked up by the San Diego Chargers. He impressed the Chargers coaching staff enough to make the 53-man roster. Addae became the team's nickel and dime safety as he became more involved due to injuries suffered by safety Brandon Taylor. Addae played all 16 games, making 2 starts, managing to collect 38 tackles, 1 sack, and a pass deflection.
2014 Season
During the offseason, Addae competed for the starting Strong Safety position. Then, during the Chargers preseason, Addae suffered a hamstring injury. He returned during the regular season against the Jaguars. Against the Patriots, Addae forced a fumble in which it was recovered by the Chargers and taken for a touchdown. For the 2014 season, Jahleel Addae collected 48 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 sack.
