Jagdish Sharma (born 1 October 1950) is an Indian politician. He was a member of the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) political party. His wife Shanti Sharma is also a member of the JDU and an MLA from Bihar. After being found guilty in criminal conspiracy to save bureaucrats involved in Fodder Scam Sharma was sentenced to 4 years rigorous imprisonment and disqualified as a MP along with RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.[1][2][3]

Political career

Sharma entered in politics with the Bihar Movement, also known as JP Movement, lead by Jayaprakash Narayan in 1974.[2]
