Jacobsburg, Ohio

Jacobsburg is an unincorporated community in southeastern Smith Township, Belmont County, Ohio, United States. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43933.[1] It lies along State Route 147.
Jacobsburg is part of the Wheeling, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Jacobsburg was laid out in 1815. It was probably named for its founder, Jacob Calvert.[2]
In 1833, Jacobsburg contained one tavern, two stores, a physician, sundry mechanics, and about 120 inhabitants.[3]
