JACO is an upcoming feature documentary film on the life of legendary musician, Jaco Pastorius, slated for release sometime in 2015. The film is a passion project of Metallica bassist, Robert Trujillo, who was greatly influenced by Jaco Pastorius's larger-than-life persona, and his approach to music. The film is produced by Trujillo and John Battsek of Passion Pictures, and directed by Paul Marchand and Stephen Kijak. It features interviews with visionary musicians such as Sting, Joni Mitchell, Flea, Jerry Jemmott, Bootsy Collins, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, and never-before-seen photos and film from the Pastorius family archive.[1][2][3]
