John "Jackie" Roberts (30 June 1918 – 2001) was a Welsh footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a right back.

Career

Born in Swansea, Roberts began his career with Cwmbwria Juniors before turning professional in 1937 with Bolton Wanderers. Roberts' career was disrupted by World War II, when he joined the Army, serving in France, the Middle East and Italy, where he was injured by shrapnel. After the war ended and normal football resumed, Roberts eventually spent a season with Swansea City in 1950-1951. In total, Roberts made 178 appearances in the Football League, scoring 20 goals. He later played for Welsh team Llanelli.

Roberts also made one appearance for the Welsh national side.
