Jack Strong is a 2014 Polish political thriller film directed by Władysław Pasikowski, starring Marcin Dorociński, Maja Ostaszewska, Dagmara Dominczyk and Patrick Wilson. The film is based on the true story of Ryszard Kukliński, a Polish Army colonel who spied for the American Central Intelligence Agency during the height of the Cold War. The title of the film, Jack Strong, was Kukliński's secret agent pseudonym.

Production

Preparations took five years. Filmmakers used help from David Forden - ops officer of CIA who was the supervisor of Ryszard Kukliński.

Photography started in January 2013. The film was shot in General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Legnica, Washington D.C. and Moscow.

The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Jack Strong, produced by Scorpio Studio,received 11 nominations in Polish Eagles.[1]
