Jack Stockwell (born 2 March 1992) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Newcastle Knights of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays prop, second-row and lock.

Background

Born in Campbelltown, New South Wales, Stockwell played his junior football for the Picton Magpies before being signed by the St. George Illawarra Dragons.

Playing career

From 2009 to 2012, Stockwell played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons' NYC team.[1]

In Round 11 of the 2012 NRL season, Stockwell made his NRL debut for the Dragons against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.[2][3]

In April 2012, Stockwell played for the New South Wales Under 20s team in the inaugural Under 20s State of Origin match.[4]

In July 2012, Stockwell played for the New South Wales Residents against the Queensland Residents.[5]

On 12 September 2012, Stockwell was named at prop in the 2012 New South Wales Cup Team of the Year.[6]

In October 2012, Stockwell played for the Junior Kangaroos against the Junior Kiwis.[7]

On 20 December 2013, Stockwell signed a contract extension with the Dragons keeping him at the club until the end of 2017.[8]

On 31 October 2014, Stockwell signed a 3-year contract with the Newcastle Knights after being released from his Dragons contract.[9]
