Plot summary

Aanya Shroff (Priya Badlani), daughter of a multi millionaire business tycoon Kishan Shroff (Karan Shah), who is on her vacation in Goa, is bemusedly standing near the wishing falls. She is finding it very hard to make a wish, as she was born with a golden spoon and has got everything in her life. An irate vacationer (Neelu Kohli), who is waiting for her turn to make a wish, tells Aanya that she should make a wish to lose everything in her life. At this very moment, Aanya accidentally drops the coin and gets tensed as she feels that the wish the lady had asked will come true. However, her father assures her that nothing of that sort can happen as they were earning billions of profit daily. In order to cheer her up, her grandmother, Gayatri Devi, commonly known as GD (Suhasini Mulay), throws a party for her. Aanya likes to flirt with boys, which her sister, Isha (Madhur Soma Manghnani) does not like. Isha also lives with a complex that she does not get the due attention like her younger sister Aanya does. Later, while enjoying the party, Kishan is shocked when he comes to know that his name has been linked with a big scam and eventually he will lose all his assets and properties. He also fears that he and his family members will have to bear the brunt, therefore he decides to flee. When Aanya comes to know this, she at once realises that her wish has come true. The police arrive at the Shroff's Mansion, but do not find anyone. After helping GD, Aanya, Isha and their alcoholic mother, Debbie (Meher Acharya) escape. Percy (Vivek Vaswani), their butler, rushes to the mansion as he realises that he has dropped an important diary inside the house. When he reaches there, he runs into Inspector Bali Shukla (Abhir Goswami). However, the inspector lets him go as he claims to be innocent. Percy, on the sly, picks up the diary and walks away. Meanwhile, GD gets irked when Aanya and Isha keep nagging her. However, both the girls as well as their mother are shocked when they land up in a small and remote village and GD asserts that they will take refuge there so that they can remain untraced. The villagers are left in total bewilderment on seeing urban girls in modern outfits. GD and the girls run into a young boy, Chhotu (Abhileen Pandey), who assumes them to be relatives of Thakur. GD cooks up a story and tells Chhotu that she has lost her way to Thakur's mansion. Aanya and Isha rejoice after realising that they will be staying in a mansion. However, their happiness soon fades away as the mansion turns out to be old and abandoned. Isha, Aanya and Debbie find it hard to believe that they are going to stay in a mansion which is inhabited by various pests and decorated by cobwebs. However, GD makes it clear that they don't have any choice. Meanwhile, Sarpanch (The Village Head - Vijay Kashyap) gets elated when Chhotu informs him about GD's arrival. He feels that her arrival will prove to be beneficial for the village. He then decides to personally greet her. Meanwhile, Bali interrogates Percy and all other servants of Kishan, but his efforts remain fruitless as they claim to be innocent. However, he tells Percy that he will get his hands on Kishan and forbids him from leaving the city. On the other hand, Aanya feels that her wish has come true and pleads to God to make her life normal again. She later runs into Raghu (Sudeep Sahir), a local youth who always thinks of the prosperity of their village, and they enter into a tiff. An infuriated Aanya tells GD that that the villagers are very ill-mannered, but GD advises her to adapt herself as it will eventually help her love the village life. However, Aanya, Isha and Debbie continue to throw tantrums, much to GD's chagrin. Meanwhile, Sarpanch's daughter, Gehna (Shalini Khanna) meets Janki (Rameshwari), Raghu's mother, on the pretext of giving her sweets she had prepared. Gehna, who has developed a soft corner for Raghu, is a bit nervous as she feels that Aanya is more beautiful than her and Raghu will get attracted towards Aanya. However, she feels relieved when Raghu tells her that he does not like city girls at all. Later, Aanya decides to explore the night life of the village, but gets disappointed when she again runs into Raghu. She is shocked when she comes to know that there are no pubs or discothèques in the village. On the other hand, Sarpanch's son, Lakhan (Asif Basra), who does not approve of Gehna's friendship with Raghu, chides Gehna and forbids her from going to Raghu's place again. After spending a sleepless night in the village, Aanya gets irritated by the sound of temple bells early in the morning. She goes to the temple and orders the priest to stop ringing the bell at once. She even tries to remove the bell, but Raghu intervenes. Aanya looks at Raghu with vengeful eyes but does not say anything and leaves. While on her way back to the mansion, she gets terrified when a bull starts chasing her. On the other hand, GD orders Isha to fetch a pot of water from the well. After refusing initially, Isha goes to the well. She finds Bhola (Rahul Lohani), son of the priest and a celibate, and tries to woo him. She then makes him carry the pot all the way to the mansion. On the other hand, Aanya, who is being chased by a bull, falls in muck and makes a mess of herself. Meanwhile, Sarpanch gets ready for the annual religious ceremony conducted for good harvest, but Lakhan urges him to personally invite GD for the ceremony. Sarpanch expresses his inability as he is running late for the ceremony, and as per tradition, this ceremony should be conducted by Sarpanch. However, Lakhan assures him that he will conduct the ceremony on his behalf. Later, the villagers are surprised when Lakhan tells them that Sarpanch will not be able to make it on time for the ceremony. The villagers then unanimously decide that Raghu should conduct the ceremony, much to Lakhan's chagrin. However, Raghu does not feel it right to take place of Sarpanch and asks Lakhan to do the honours. On the other hand, Aanya's desperate search for water to take a bath ends when she finds a small river beside the temple. Without wasting a single moment, she removes her clothes and jumps into the water, little realising the outcome. Raghu loses his cool when he sees Aanya swimming in the river. He chides her for disrupting the ceremony and asks her to cover herself as it is considered obscene for a woman to bathe in public. All the villagers decide to bring this to Sarpanch's notice, but Lakhan intervenes and takes the side of Aanya. Soon Sarpanch also arrives and is shocked to see the commotion. All the villagers demand that this matter should be dealt with seriously, but Lakhan asserts that GD and her family are their guests and therefore they should be treated likewise. GD somehow manages to control the situation and leaves the scene along with Aanya. However, the villagers remain adamant and Sarpanch finds himself in a dilemma. However, Lakhan assures him that he will convince the villagers and solve the matter amicably. But on the contrary, he incites the villagers against GD. The next day, GD is shocked when she comes to know that the village council has summoned Aanya to apologise. With a fear of getting punished in front of the villagers, Aanya runs away, leaving behind GD, Isha and Debbie in total bewilderment. GD is shocked with the news, but Raghu senses foul play. He tells Sarpanch that Aanya might be hiding somewhere to evade the village council's trial. However, Sarpanch does not agree with him and orders all the villagers to look for Aanya. While the villagers are looking for Aanya, Lakhan's cronies get into action and loot all of Raghu's harvest of sugarcanes. Meanwhile, Aanya manages to reach the highway and heaves a sigh of relief as finally she's rid of the village. She gets overjoyed on seeing a truck approaching, and manages to get in the truck without getting noticed by the driver. When Raghu comes to know of the loot, he gets furious and decides to nab the culprit. He takes the short cut route to the highway. He manages to stop the truck and interrogates the driver, but the driver somehow tricks him and escapes. Raghu again chases the truck and is shocked when he sees Aanya in the truck. Aanya is also shocked to see Raghu and feels that he is chasing her. Raghu gets infuriated when he loses the track of the truck, but soon corners them. However, they again manage to get away, leaving Aanya behind. He again chases the truck, but soon loses its trail. He accuses Aanya for his loss, while Aanya holds him responsible for foiling her plan to go to Mumbai. Meanwhile, everyone in the village starts getting anxious and decides to hand the matter to the police. GD gets shocked and urges the villagers that the police should not get involved. Sarpanch finally decides that he himself will go and search for Aanya and asks Lakhan to accompany him. On the other hand, Aanya gets furious and starts beating Raghu. Raghu is taken aback with this sudden outburst and holds Aanya's hands. At this juncture, Sarpanch and Lakhan arrive. Lakhan accuses Raghu of molesting Aanya and instigates his father against him. Raghu is shocked with the allegations and tells Sarpanch that he will give his clarification in front of the village council. GD heaves a sigh of relief when Aanya comes back and thanks Lakhan for his efforts. Later, she chides Aanya for being so irresponsible. Meanwhile, Raghu is not happy with the events and holds Aanya responsible for everything, but his mother calms him down and assures him that everything will be all right. The next day, GD forbids Aanya from going to the village council, but Aanya does not listen to her. Raghu manages to prove his innocence in front of the village council, much to Lakhan's annoyance. Moreover, Aanya is found guilty of maligning Raghu's image and therefore the village council decides to punish her. Raghu requests the village council to give him a chance to decide the punishment, which is duly granted. He then asserts that Aanya's head should be shaved. Aanya gets infuriated and starts abusing everyone, including the village council. However, the village council makes it clear that the decision taken by it was final and binding. Aanya is shocked and finds it hard to believe that soon she will go bald. Later, when Raghu returns home, he is greeted with his mother's thrashing. She accuses him of not respecting women. However, Raghu explains to her that he will not execute the punishment, as he just wants to teach Aanya a lesson. Chhotu overhears this and tells Bhola about this. Bhola in turn tells Isha. Isha, who was very eager to see Aanya go bald, gets disappointed. However, she does not reveal this to Aanya. Looking at Isha's behaviour, Aanya feels that something is fishy and meets Bhola. She heaves a sigh of relief when Bhola reveals the truth. Finally, on the day of the judgment, Aanya walks in very confidently. She tells the village council that she is ready for her punishment on a condition that Raghu will shave her head. Everyone, including Raghu, is shocked to hear this.
