Jonathan James "JJ" Hooper (born 9 October 1993) is an English footballer who plays for Havant & Waterlooville as a forward.
Career
Born in Greenwich, Hooper began his footballing career at Newcastle's Academy.
On 19 August 2011, Hooper signed a two-year scholarship deal with Newcastle, and scored a hat-trick against Chelsea U18 in the following day.[1] On 14 November 2012, Hooper was loaned to Darlington.[2] A month later, he joined Workington, in the same predicament.[3] On 1 February 2013, he was released.[4]
On 25 July, Hooper signed a one-year deal with Northampton Town, after impressing on a trial.[5] On 3 August, he made his professional debut, replacing Danny Emerton in the dying minutes of a 0–1 away defeat against York City.[6]
Hooper joined Conference Premier side Alfreton Town on a one-month loan deal on 28 November 2013[7] and made his debut in the FA Trophy against Nuneaton Town on 30 November 2013.[8]
On 14 March 2014, Hooper joined Conference South side Farnborough on loan until the end of the 2013–14 season.[9] He was released by Northampton on 7 May.[10]
On 21 June, Hooper signed with Havant & Waterlooville. [11]
