John Douglas Deshotel, (January 6, 1952) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.
Biography
J. Douglas Deshotel was born in Basile, Louisiana. He studied at Holy Trinity Seminary[1] and was ordained a priest on May 13, 1978 for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas.[2] Deshotel was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas as well as titular bishop of Cova on March 11, 2010 by Benedict XVI. Deshotel was consecrated an auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Dallas on April 27, 2010.[3]
