J.E. Heartbreak is the second studio album by American R&B group Jagged Edge. The album, which was originally set to be released in Fall of 1999, but the album was delayed and was released on January 18, 2000.

The title of the album is a reference to R&B group New Edition's 1989 album N.E. Heartbreak. The album has been considered as the group's breakthrough album due to the success of the singles and the album itself.

Chart performance and sales

The album peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

The album is seen as the group's biggest selling album to date with sales of over 2 million copies in the United States and, as a result, was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA.

Singles

The album spawned four singles, three of which made the Top 20 on the Billboard 100.

"He Can't Love U" is the first single released from the album and is seen by many as the group's breakthrough single. The single reached No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, which became the group's first Top 20 single, and was eventually certified Gold by the RIAA. The single also reached No. 3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, becoming the group's first Top 10 single on the chart.

"Keys to the Range" was the second single released from the album and only managed to reach No. 55 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the group's first single to not chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Let's Get Married" was the third single released from the album. The single reached No. 11 on Billboard Hot 100, becoming the group's second Top 20 single. The single also managed to become the group's first single to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, as well.

The final single from the album, "Promise", is seen as the group's biggest hit to date reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, becoming the group's second consecutive No. 1 single.
