Jérémie Janot (born 11 October 1977 in Valenciennes) is a French retired footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Le Mans, after signing a three-year contract with the club on 2 August 2012.[1] He played for AS Saint-Étienne for 16 years of his career. He set a record of 1534 minutes without letting in a goal at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. He was voted "goalkeeper of the year" by L'Equipe after the 2006–07 season. Current, Janot is the Head Coach of the U-19 team of Villars.[2]
Janot is known for his hatred of Olympique Lyonnais (ASSE's traditional rivals) and thought about wearing an AC Milan kit during his match the weekend after Milan had knocked Lyon out of the UEFA Champions League.
