Ivo Komšić (born 16 June 1948) is the current mayor of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a politician of the Social Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina.[1]
Early life and education
Komšić was born in Kiseljak, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. He was the chairman of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 2000 and 2002. Between 2006 and 2010 he was a representative in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2010, he was named dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo.
