Plot summary

Shlok, believes in wealth more than in relationships. Astha on the other hand is a free-minded girl who will do almost anything for the people she thinks are right.[12] He has a miserable past which makes him hate women, including his mother. Upon meeting for the first time, Shlok misunderstands Aastha, and thinks Astha insults his father Niranjan. Then, Shlok decides to take revenge from Astha by showering fake love on her and getting her married to him. On their first night he reveals his intentions of marrying her. Astha doesn't reveal anything to her parents, as Shlok blackmails her. Eventually, both Astha and Shlok start to develop soft corners for each other, but one day Aastha mistakenly accuses Shlok for sending her father to jail. Thus, she leaves Shlok and files a divorce petition as per her mother's suggestion making Shlok more angry. However, the judge orders Aastha to stay with Shlok until next the court hearing in six months. During this time, Aastha discovers that Shlok is actually a very good person at heart, whose past related to his ex girlfriend, Swati has made him arrogant. She decides to change him. Slowly Aastha's love changes Shlok and he realizes his true feelings for Aastha. They happily consummate their marriage.

Later it is revealed that Niranjan makes Shlok's mother, Anjali a bad person in front of everyone and makes her children, including Shlok hates her. Soon Aastha learns that Niranjan is behind every bad deed. She somehow succeeds in getting Anjali her rights back, but fails to expose Niranjan as her proofs were destroyed by Niranjan. This creates problems between Aastha and Shlok as Shlok blindly follows his father and hates his mother. Niranjan plans to burn Aastha to death to keep Shlok in the dark forever. However, just in time Shlok rescues Aastha from fire. On the same day, Shlok gets shattered, after he overhears Niranjan admitting all his misdeeds to Anjali. Then Shlok accepts Anjali as his mother and apologies to her for not understanding her. He decides to leave the house with Anjali and Aastha to make his own identity. Aastha and Shlok leave for Mumbai as everyone in Pune recognises Shlok as Shlok Agnihotri. They start a new life by opening their own food truck. Shlok gets appreciated by the villagers as he saves their food truck and the village from local goons. Shlok and Astha move into a new spacious house and call Anjali to live with them. Gradually, Niranjan realizes his mistakes and wants Shlok and Anjali back in his life. Meanwhile Varad, the elder brother of Shlok, betrays Niranjan and cast him out of Agnihotri mansion. Niranjan reaches Mumbai and meets Anjali. He apologises to Anjali, Astha and Shlok for his misdeeds, but Shlok refuses to accept him as his father. Niranjan apologises for his misdeeds via the media, and finally Shlok forgives him.

Later, Shlok comes to know a person called Indrajeet Sarkar has betrayed Varad and his family and has thrown them out from Agnihotry mansion. Shlok decides to go back to Pune to get the property back. Agnihotry family decides to live in Varad's flat and plot against Sarkar's. Aastha (Sapna) and Shlok (Ballu/Balwankar) disguise themselves and start working under Indrajeet. Gradually Indrajeet starts falling for Sapna and hopes to marry her. Eventually, Aastha and Shlok deceive Sarkar's and get the property transferred to Agnihotri's. Later it is revealed that Indrajit works for Ahilya (Thakur Ma), and wwants to take revenge from Agnihotri's as Niranjan has left her daughter, Kavita to marry Anjali. After knowing the truth Anjali leaves Niranjan. On the same day,Anjali,Shlok and Astha meet with an accident.
