Israel announced on 10 July 2012 that they will debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 to be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands.[1] Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union will be responsible for the selection process of their first participant.
Israel have previously tried to take part in the contest, back in 2004 Israel confirmed that they would be in Lillehammer, however pulled out before the contest along with Germany. Then four years later in 2008 IBA again announced that Israel would take part in Limassol however then withdrew again before the contest.
