Israel Jerez Martínez (born 8 August 1986), simply known as Israel, is a Spanish footballer who plays for CD Alcoyano as a winger.
Club career
Born in Granada, Andalusia, Israel finished his formation with local Arenas CD, and made his senior debuts with the club in the 2004–05 season in Segunda División B, suffering team relegation. He returned to the third level only in the 2007–08 campaign, signing with Granada CF.
In the following four years Israel continued competing in the third tier of Spanish football, representing CD Toledo,[1] CD Roquetas,[2] CP Cacereño[3] and Real Jaén.[4] He achieved promotion to Segunda División with the latter side in 2013, scoring seven goals in 37 games in the process.
On 18 August 2013 Israel played his first professional match, starting in a 1–2 home loss against SD Eibar.[5] He appeared in 35 matches during the season, with the Blancos being relegated back to the third level, however.
On 22 July 2014 Israel moved to CD Alcoyano, also in the third division.[6]
