Ishwarganj (Bengali: ঈশ্বরগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Mymensingh District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Geography
Ishwarganj is located at 24°41′00″N 90°37′30″E / 24.6833°N 90.6250°E. It has 56296 units of household. The total area of the upazilla is 286.19 km².Stand on --North side Gaurepur Upozila, South side Nandiak, East side- Kendowa, West - Trisal Upozila. Ishwargonj distance from Dhaka-142 km and from Mymensing 22 Km [1]
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Ishwarganj has a population of 306977. Males constitute 50.8% of the population, and females 49.2%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 143379. Ishwarganj has an average literacy rate of 22.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]
