Irfan Shahid
Irfan Shahid, also written Shahîd (born 1926 in Nazareth) in Arabic: عرفان شهيد, is Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University.[1] Since 1982 he has been the Oman Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies. Irfan Shahid became a Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America in 2012.[2]
