Ireland women's national basketball team
The Ireland women's national basketball team represents Ireland in International women's basketball, the team play in Eurobasket Women Division B (second tier of international women's basketball in Europe). the team is coached by Mark Scannell and plays their home games in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.In February 2010, during the Irish financial crisis, Basketball Ireland announced that it was €1.2m in debt and was deactivating its senior international squads to cut costs.[1]
