Ira Branch Johnson (September 17, 1880 – December 1, 1950) was the seventh head football coach for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets located in Lexington, Virginia and he held that position for two seasons, from 1905 until 1906. His career coaching record at VMI was 6 wins, 9 losses, and 1 ties. This ranks him 20th at VMI in total wins and 20th at VMI in winning percentage.[2] He was the brother of Hammond Johnson.
