Iowa Big Four men's college basketball

The Iowa Big Four men's college basketball rivalries consists of games between Iowa's four Division I NCAA basketball teams: Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Iowa, and Drake. Previously Grinnell College was involved in the series, but Grinnell has since dropped to Division III status while Northern Iowa has ascended to Division I status.

Previously, Iowa & Iowa State had home-and-home series with Drake & Northern Iowa. (In even numbered years, Iowa would travel to Drake and host Northern Iowa while Iowa State would host Drake and travel to Northern Iowa. This was reversed for odd-numbered years.) However, beginning for the 2012 season the series would move to Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines. In even numbered years Iowa will play Northern Iowa in Game 1 and Iowa State will play Drake in Game 2. In odd numbered years Iowa State will play Northern Iowa in Game 1 and Iowa will play Drake in Game 2. The four schools will rotate hosting duties. Due to travel concerns, Northern Iowa will always play in game 1 while Drake will always play in game 2. [1] Drake and Northern Iowa will continue to play each other twice each season (once at Drake & once at Northern Iowa) as members of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Iowa State is a member of the Big 12 Conference, Iowa is a member of the Big Ten Conference, and Drake and Northern Iowa are members of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The results show the state of Iowa division I champion for each year. The school listed first has their score also listed first in the table.

Drake victories are shown in ██ blue, Iowa State victories in ██ red, Iowa victories in ██ yellow and Northern Iowa victories in ██ purple. Tied games, shared awards and future events are shown in ██ silver. In the event of a shared award. Note: Postseason play not included, although as both are members of the Missouri Valley Conference Drake & Northern Iowa often face each other in the conference's post-season tournament.
