Ioannis Varvitsiotis (Greek: Ιωάννης Βαρβιτσιώτης) (b. 2 August 1933 in Athens[1]) is a Greek politician and Member of the European Parliament for New Democracy[2] from 2004–2009, part of the European People's Party. He didn't stand for reelection in the European elections, 2009. He was also twice a defense minister of Greece[3] from 2 July 1989 till 7 October 1989 and again between 11 April 1990 till 13 October 1993.
