Intronis is a provider of online backup and disaster recovery solutions...[1] Founded in 2003, Intronis was developed as a reseller backup service that offers an offsite backup service.

Value-added resellers and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) sell Intronis as a white label product to Small Medium-Sized Businesses. According to a profile published by IDC, Intronis enjoys a 90% or greater retention rate among its service providers.[2]

Intronis was named a Top Cloud Service Provider,[3] 2014 Best Channel Vendor,[4] 2013 MSPmentor 250[5] and received a CRN’s 2014 5-Star Partner Rating[6]

Products

Intronis ECHOplatform[7] provides cloud backup and disaster recovery for both on-premise and off-premise for file, folder and system data protection. The company also provides bare metal restore,[8] image backup; and reverse incremental backup.

In June 2014, Intronis announced a monthly fixed flat rate pricing[9] with unlimited cloud storage for managed service providers customers.[10][11]

Investors

Intronis secured $10 million in Series A funding from OpenView Venture Partners in October 2007.[12] In July 2012, raised an additional $3.9 million in venture funding from a combination of debt and equity financing from undisclosed sources. Intronis subsequently raised $12 million[13] in venture funding from Greenspring Associates[14] and OpenView Venture Partners in November 2012[15]
