International Hedgehog Association is a charity and non-profit organization established in 1999. The goal of organization is to educate the public in the care and betterment of hedgehogs and to facilitate the rescue, welfare, promotion and care of hedgehogs worldwide.
Hedgehogs as pets
International Hedgehog Association stated that there are no reasons to single out hedgehogs or other exotic pets in the pet ownership prohibition for children younger than 5 years in the United States.[1]
