The International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, or IGLTA, is an association composed of travel agents, tour operators, hotels and guest houses, and other travel-related enterprises dedicated to gay and lesbian tourism. It was founded in 1983, and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With over 1,500 tourism related business members, the IGLTA is the largest of such organizations in the world.

The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association is the world's leading worldwide travel network committed and dedicated to uniting and instructing LGBT travelers and the numerous businesses that not only welcome, but also support them along the way. Annual Conventions

Each year, IGLTA hosts an Annual Global Convention in a different location around the globe. The most recent Conventions were held in Chicago, Illinois (2013) and Madrid, Spain (2014).[2]

President & CEO

John Tanzella is the President/CEO of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association. Prior to joining IGLTA,he has worked for Delta Air Lines, the Washington D.C. Convention Bureau, and the Human Rights Campaign. He was born in Massachusetts, attended the University of Georgia, lived for three years in Italy and now resides in South Florida.[3]
