International Artists Records

International Artists Records (IA) (International Artists Foundation) is a current and active recording company based in New York City which started in 1956 for the express purpose of furthering classical music. It came under new ownership in 1972 and since that time has been involved with the Musical Publications, Records, CDs, DVDs, and concerts industry. International Artists produces the weekly television show "Crescendo!" which airs in New York City and 51 other major cities on TimeWarner Cable and Seattle, Washington on Seattle Community Media.

Roster of artists and performing organizations include: Mark Andersen, Lynn Andersen, David Huggins, Maggie Charles, John Grenon, Linda Hartley, Alexandra Suchocki, Dimitri Toscas, Irene Maddox, Nicholas Milton, Janiel Miller, Harper Tasche, The Manhattan Philharmonic Orchestra, The John Hays Hammond Castle Museum, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Royal Albert Hall, The New York City Library Concert Series, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, artist Catherine Dahlstrom and photographer Wes Bennett. Cast recordings of musical theater and cabaret performances include "Endless Song", "Longtime Companion", "Widow's Waltz", "42nd Street and Other Music of the Night", "All the Things You Are", "You Are My Song", "The Celestina", and "Best Friends" to name a few. For many years International Artists produced the "Celebrity Showcase" radio program from New York City and continues to produce music for broadcast today. The family of companies under International Artists includes International Church Publications with over 300 works for church musicians published. In 1956 the primary medium was Stereo LP albums. Since that time it has evolved along with the recording industry and offerings are now only on CD and DVD.

The production of Crescendo! began in 2003 in upstate New York. In Oneonta, the WISF station manager, Walter Rasmussen, requested a 28 minute music television show featuring the organist Mark Andersen that he could air on his station. The result is Crescendo! which became the 2nd most popular show on the station. In 2006 the musicians moved to Seattle, WA, and Crescendo! began airing on SCAN TV as well. In 2006 Crescendo! was selected to air on TimeWarner Cable in New York City after winning a slot for a Christmas program. TimeWarner Cable has continued to air Crescendo! on its cable access channels all over the United States. In 2011 SCAN TV was shut down by the city of Seattle, and broadcast was moved to Seattle Community Media (SCM) at North Seattle Community College. In 2013, Crescendo! began airing on IETV (In Time Education TV) in Saint Lucia. Many of the episodes of Crescendo! are filmed at Daniels Recital Hall Crescendo! now has reached the milestone of over 300 episodes.
