Chronology
Predecessor International 3800

The International 3300 is a conventional bus chassis manufactured by Navistar International, used for school bus and commercial bus applications. It was introduced for 2005 as the replacement for the 3800. The 3300 shares powertrains and body components from the DuraStar line of medium duty trucks.

Availability

Unlike its 3800 predecessor, the 3300 is not widely used throughout the industry due to the alignment between body manufacturers and chassis suppliers. For 2005 and 2006, the 3300 was offered by Blue Bird alongside the Vision. These models were called the SBCV and were the final versions of the long-running CV200 series. At IC Bus, the 3300 has provided the basis for the current generation of CE-Series Type C buses.

Engines

As of 2009, the 3300 has been sold with two different engines. These have both undergone the "MaxxForce" re-branding.

As of 2015, the 3300 is now sold with three different engines.

The MaxxForce 7 (6.4L V8) is no longer available in IC buses.
