Intensivist

An Intensivist is a medical specialist in Critical care medicine. This group of specialists have certification in a variety of surgical and medical base specialties including anesthesia, emergency medicine, internal medicine including its subspecialties, pediatrics including its subspecialties, and surgery and its subspecialties. Additional training is required in Critical Care Medicine and generally includes two years of combined clinical and research experience.
