History

In addition the company has 180+ self-service units in operation, both in Ireland and the UK.

In 2003 the company merged with the gourmet sandwich company, Bendini & Shaw, to combine a quality food offering with its hot beverage range. In 2005 the Insomnia acquired the Perk cafes. The company is owned equally by Bobby Kerr (Chairman), Harry O’Kelly (CEO) and John Clohisey

In April 2012, the Insomnia High street franchise was launched and the process of recruiting new franchise owners began with a target of opening 15 franchise stores in 5 years. The first franchise store was opened in 2013, with additional franchise stores already in the pipe line. Currently the company is consolidating its strong position in Ireland while looking for further opportunities at home and abroad.
