Architecture

Informatica PowerCenter, the flagship tool of Informatica works on a Service Oriented Architecture on the basis of transformations which transform data in multiple ways.

Types of transformations

Also, Active transformation are recognised by the following three factors

# If a transformation changes the row type,
# If a transformation changes the row order,
# If Transaction control happens in the transformation.

Then the transformation is said to be active transformation, and on the other hand those transformation doesn't do these three things basically are said to be passive transformation.
