Inese Lībiņa-Egnere (born 25 September 1977) is a Latvian lawyer and politician representing the Reform Party.

Biography

Inese Lībiņa-Egnere was born on 25 September 1977 in Liepāja. She completed her secondary education in Liepāja high school in 1996. She then studied in the Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia and at the University of Freiburg in Germany. She became a member of a legal firm. From 2004 she was an assistant professor at the University of Latvia's faculty of Civil Law. In 2007 she was awarded a Doctorate in Law. From 2007 to 2011 she was legal advisor to President Valdis Zatlers.[1]

Political activities

In 2011 she joined Zatlers' Reform Party. As a party list candidate for the 11th Parliamentary elections, she was elected to the Courland region.[2] She became a member of the Justice Committee and the European Affairs Committee.[3] From 20 October 2011 she was Chairperson of the Legal Affairs Committee.[4]
