History

Indieflix was founded in 2005 by Scilla Andreen and Gian Carlo Scandiuzzi, but is run solely by CEO Scilla Andreen.[3] The company specializes in promoting independent film by providing online streaming platforms with filmmaker content. Indieflix offers an online streaming subscription for an annual price of $50 or $5 per month. Currently, Indieflix has over 4,100 titles that include features, shorts and documentaries, and services approximately 43,000 subscribers.[4]

The company collaborates with filmmakers to discover efficient solutions for distribution and provides potential access to worldwide platforms such as Amazon, Roku and Xbox.
