Indiana Uplands

The Indiana Uplands are a geographical region in south-central Indiana. On a topographical map the Indiana Uplands (also known as the Hoosier Uplands) begin slightly north of the city of Bloomington, Indiana and continue south to the Ohio River. The Uplands are characterized by rolling hills (somewhat similar to southern California) and a high limestone content. This is a sharp contrast to the rest of the state which tends to be flat.
