India–Serbia relations are foreign relations between India and Serbia. India has an embassy in Belgrade. Serbia has an embassy in New Delhi and an honorary consulate in Chennai.
Hinduism in Serbia and Montenegro is represented by Hare Krishnas, Shri Chinmoy Mission, and Vedanta Society. Hindu Humanitarian Societies like Transcendental Meditation and Brahma Kumaris are also active in Serbia and Montenegro.
Both Josip Broz Tito and Jawaharlal Nehru were founders and prominent members of Non-Aligned Movement, organisation that was founded in Belgrade in 1961. India is still an important member of movement while Serbia became an observer after the Breakup of Yugoslavia. Serbia organised the 50th anniversary celebration of the Non-Aligned Movement on 5–6 September 2011.
In context of international relations Serbia considers India to be traditionally friendly country.[1] India has consistently refused to recognise the independence of Kosovo.
