Indestructible is a freemium vehicular combat video game developed by Glu Mobile for iOS and Android mobile devices.
Gameplay
The game contains four gameplay modes: Team Death Match, Capture The Flag, Recover The Charge, and Death Match.[1] The gameplay objective of each mode is different depending on the mode that is chosen;[1] the primarily objective is to use the player's vehicle to destroy the vehicles of other players, although depending on the game mode, there may also be other objectives.[2] A match ends when a certain predetermined score is met, for example, 5 kills in "Team Death Match" mode.[1] Indestructible supports online multiplayer in "matches" of up to four players,[2] with two players in a team (excepting Death Match, where all the players play for themselves).[1] An offline single-player and "practice" mode is also available.[1] During matches, power-up boxes may spawn on the game's map; driving into these boxes result in either armor (which refers to health) repair or double damage, which doubles the damage given by the player's weapon.[1] The game features several vehicles and weapons, which can be customized to a player's needs, though they need to be bought first.[1] In-game paint jobs for the vehicles are also available.[2] The Team Death Match is the most commonly played followed by Capture the Flag, Recover the Charge, and Death Match. In the iOS version of Indestructible, you can invite friends to play with you via game center. On the Android version, you cannot invite friends.
Influence Points
Influence points are acquired by winning multiplayer matches and can only be acquired on multiplayer matches. You get 10 Influence points for every match you win. If you loose you get: If you are Bronze League, you get 3 influence points. If you are Silver League, you lose 3 influence points. If you are Gold League, you lose 15 influence points.
Influence points are necessary to unlock certain paint jobs and vehicles. It is your "rank"
Weapons
Weapons are what you primarily use to destroy your enemies. There are 3 weapon classes: Kinetic, Thermal, and Explosive. Kinetic weapons are bullets and they have knock back in them. They have an average fire rate of 10 bullets a second. Kinetic weapons consume the least amount of energy. Thermal weapons are lasers or Flamethrower and have a continuous fire rate, but do less damage continually than Kinetic weapons. They set enemies on fire for a few seconds doing damage over time. Thermal weapons consume the most energy. Explosive weapons are Missiles. These weapons have homing in them so if you shoot a missile, it will follow a nearby enemy. Missiles are the slowest weapons and can be dodged by enemies. They do the most damage a second. They also consume a lot of energy. Missiles have an explosion radius and they damage all enemies in that radius at the time of explosion. Missiles have an average fire rate of 1 a second.
Vehicles
The first vehicle you will get when you start the game will be free. It will be either Mantis or Punnisher. These cars are small, but are quite fast and even players who own all the cars use them. Each car has its strengths and weaknesses. Fast, small cars tend to have more armor than slow, large cars.
Mantis
Fast and Agile, it is the fastest Vehicle in this game. It will outrun any other car when it's active ability is in use. You can play hit and run tricks against bigger vehicles and get the power ups easily. The Mantis, although boasting excellent speed and acceleration, has notorious issues of "spinning out"- literally spinning around in circles after trying to make sharp turns during high speeds. It is also notorious for losing traction and therefore becoming particularly vulnerable from rocket explosions. It is the second lightest weight car in the game, causing it to somewhat float after going over rocks and bumps. It is also particularly vulnerable in this "hang-time" as it floats.[3]
With the mantis, you can enter all the "hiding spots" in the game. Mantis, Retro, Shooter, Punnisher, and Ghost are the only cars that can enter the hiding spot in the back of the Aircrash map. Its agility is only beaten by Ghost. Using its speed and passive ability, you can easily take out the large cars before they have a chance to kill you.
Active Ability: Nitro. Increases top speed by 20% for 10 sec upon use. Passive ability: Recklessness. Explosive damage felt is increased as the Mantis drives faster, up to a maximum of 20% at top speed. Paint Jobs: Mantis Racecar Mantis Urban Mantis

If you have the Restoration skill, you will not need the Energy generator Component.
Punisher
The Punisher is the other free car you get at the start of the game. It handles really well. It handles and drives better than a mantis, but it is slower. With its weight and speed, it is not likely to get tipped over by a missile. It is a good car for Capture the Flag. You can drive, lay mines on places of heavy traffic and damage your enemies a little bit. Kinetic weapons work best for Punisher. If another enemy car is chasing you, get right in front of them and lay a mine while whipping the back of the Punisher at the enemy. This a lone causes a lot of damage to the enemy and the enemy could get disoriented and slow down. Most players may think Punisher is the weakest car, but if used well, it can destroy big cars such as dozers. Laying a mine on your flag after you capture a flag is a good way to damage the enemy that takes the flag. Since the Punisher has good handling, it can push its mines into enemies if you lay them in the wrong spot. An Incendiary Mine will self-destruct in a little while if it is not run over by an enemy. Since the Punisher is small, it gets the advantage of the game's hiding spots. Since the Punisher's passive ability gives 15% extra damage if you use kinetic weapons and the Punisher does not have much energy, it is best to use kinetic weapons on it. You can just run and fire and you will be safe.
Active Ability: Incendiary Mine. Drop an Incendiary Mine that deals 250 explosive damage and continues to burn all enemies caught in the blast radius for 5 seconds.
Passive Ability: Punishment. Kinetic weapons deal 15% more damage.

Retro
The Retro is the next cheapest car you can get. It has bad handling and hangs in the air easily if hit by a missile. It is not very agile, but it is a very fun car to play with. As you approach a medium to large car, use your active ability to ram them. They will get damaged by the collision and the fire your passive ability sets to the enemies. The Retro is also notorious for falling through walls and floors due to its thin shape. If you are driving fast towards a wall and you use your active ability, chances are, you will go through the wall and fall to your death. This happens most often in Rocket Base Map. With your active ability, you can hide inside the airplane in the back of the Air Crash map. If an enemy has high impact missiles, they will most certainly take your Retro out in no time because the Retro gets flipped over very easily. The Retro is a very good car for Capture the Flag. You take off from your base, use your active ability and get the enemies flag. Take off from the enemies base and use your active ability again to capture the flag. This works well on small Maps such as Aircrash. Retro's active ability is kind of like the Mantis's one except it speeds you up very fast and only lasts 1 second. You can use it to fly in Rocket Base by speeding up just as you are driving up the rocket. Beware, because you can fall through the floor on your decent. The Retro's active ability can also be used to jump to ridiculous heights. Overall, the Retro may not be the best car, but it is the most fun to play with.
Active Ability: Speed Boost. The Retro will accelerate for 1 second and damage any enemy in its path with 100 collision damage in addition to your melee.
Passive Ability:
Paint Jobs: Purple Retro, Officer Retro
Good Loadouts: (tier 4) HMT 4 Missile Launcher (tier 4) Tungsten Armor Window (tier 4) Prototype Repair (tier 4) Prototype Capacity Consumable: Incendiary Missiles Melee: (tier 4) Slicer Skills: The same as Mantis.
Reception
Indestructible has received mostly positive reviews. As of August 2013, the game has a rating of 4.5 (out of 5) both on iTunes and Google Play.[4][5] Android Authority praised the game's 3D graphics and as well as the game's controls, calling them "great".[2] Android Police's review was more mixed, with criticism being focused on the simple gameplay, the lack of an in-game penalty for leaving a match (which allows players to "bail" from a game freely), and slow progress, which results in "grinding".[6] The game's freemium aspect, as well as the vehicles' "loose" controls, which means that "[the player] feels like you’re driving a propeller dinghy rather than a sleek, amped-up death machine" was also criticized.[6] Androidtapp rated the game 3.8/5, with pros being the game's graphics, music, controls and vehicle upgrades, and the cons mainly consisting of the lack of strategy involved in the gameplay, summing Indestructible up as a "good game".[7] Gamezebo scored Indestructible three stars out of five, commending the "cool" car designs and weapons, but found the controls to be poor, and criticized the fact that in order to obtain the best in-game items quickly, real money needs to be spent.[8]
