Inamdar (surname)
Inamdar is a surname[1] derived from the feudal title "Faget" in India.In ancient times Inamdar's were called as Feudal Lords.[2] The surname is found primarily in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat and occurs amongst Hindus, Muslims, and various castes. Inamdar is the surname adopted by people in ancient times when they used to get a gift from the King or Badshah. This gift was a land, village or a set of villages.
