"In The Stone" was a single for R&B/funk band Earth, Wind & Fire in 1979, written by Allee Willis, David Foster and the band's leader Maurice White. Released from their studio album I Am, it rose to 58, 23 and 53 on the US Hot 100, US R&B and UK Singles charts respectively. [1][2]
The original song was featured in the film Drumline and was also performed by the Atlanta A&T band during a band competition.
Popular Culture
In the 90's French TV broadcaster TF1 used the song for the sunday night movie show Ciné Dimanche.
Previously, in Brazil, it was the opening theme of Silvio Santos' show Porta da Esperança, aired in the 80s by SBT.
The song can also be heard in Charles Stone III's 2002 film "DrumLine."
