Iliya Mate (Ukrainian: Ілія Федорович Мате ; born 1956 in Starohnativka, Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR) is a wrestler from Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. He was Olympic gold medalist in Freestyle wrestling in 1980, competing for the Soviet Union. He won gold medals at the 1979 and 1982 World Wrestling Championships.[1]
