Iftikhar Imam Siddiqui (Urdu: افتخار امام صدیقی) is a Urdu language poet, writer and journalist from India.[1][2][3] He is also the editor of oldest Urdu literary magazine Shair.[1][2][3][4]

Biography

Siddiqui was born in Agra, India to Aijaz Siddiqui, the second son of Seemab Akbarabadi, the literary family.[1][2] His grandfather Seemab Akbarabadi was also a legendary Urdu poet and writer of the 20th century.[1][2]

Siddiqui's father moved to Mumbai in 1951,[1][2] while his grandfather was already migrated to Pakistan in 1948, after partition of India.[1][2]
