Idukki is a township in Idukki taluke, Idukki district in the state of Kerala, India. The Township consists of the Cities of Cheruthony, Painavu, Thadiyampadu, Idukki and Vazhathope.Idukki town is an Administrative town and the district headquarters is located at Painavu, the part of Idukki Town. The town is also a well known Tourist Spot with Idukki dam, Asia's largedt Arch dam; Cheruthony dam, Keralas biggest dam. River. Periyar flows through the heart of the town.
