Ian Rawcliffe is the President of the German Rugby Federation, having been elected to this position on 6 July 2013. He succeeded Ralph Götz in this role but had previously held this position from 1996 to 2004.[1][2]
Rawcliffe was born in Burnley, England, and came to Germany with the British Army in the 1970s.[3][4] Since 1975 he lives in Rödermark, near Frankfurt and is a member of BSC Offenbach, a club he also coached in the 1980s.[5][6]
Rawcliffe first held the position of President of the German Rugby Federation from 1996 to 2004, when he stepped down for personal reasons and was succeeded by Bernd Leifheit.[7]
