"I Need Drugs" is the title track of Necro's debut studio album, I Need Drugs. It is the third track on the album and also the most drug-inspired song on the album. A re-make of the hip hop musician LL Cool J's "I Need Love", it turns the original song, in which the narrator laments his regrets for playing women and now seeks a meaningful relationship, on its head by presenting a drug abuser praising his crack cocaine addiction.
A music video for the song was directed by Necro himself, who had previously filmed two short films entitled 187 Reasonz Y and The Devil Made Me Do it, in 2000. The video depicts people shooting heroin and smoking crack cocaine while he performs the song. It also features Necro's blood uncle, Howard Tenenbaum, better known as "Uncle Howie". The video was partially filmed in Uncle Howie's apartment, on a Hi8, and edited using Avid Technology.
The video is available on the DVD included with the special edition of Gory Days. It was also released in small quantities by Necro Pictures on the I Need Drugs Music Video, a short film featuring the music video, backed with a performance at New York City's Brownie's and four freestyle skits, in 2000.
