INS Chennai is the third ship of the Kolkata-class destroyers being built for the Indian Navy. She is under construction at Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) located in Mumbai.[7]
Construction
She was laid down in February 2006, launched in April 2010 and is expected to be in commission in by 2015.[8] It will be the first naval ship named after Chennai, capital of Tamil Nadu.[9]
