Hypseleotris aurea, commonly known as the golden gudgeon, is a species of sleeper goby endemic to Australia where it is found in rocky pools in the Murchison and Gascoyne Rivers in Western Australia. This species can reach a length of 8 centimetres (3.1 in) TL. It can also be found in the aquarium trade.[2]
