Hyposmocoma montivolans is a species of moth of the Cosmopterigidae family. It is endemic to Oahu. The type locality are the mountains near Honolulu.

The larvae probably feed on lichens on rocks. They live in a silk-lined accumulation of frass. The case is slightly pointed toward its anal extremity, the opening at the anterior end being large and straight.
