Hvalfjarðarsveit is a municipality located in Iceland. The municipality was formed 1 June 2006, by the union of the former municipalities of Hvalfjarðarstrandarhreppur, Innri-Akraneshreppi, Leirár- og Melahreppi and Skilmannahreppi.
