Hungary is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Athletics
Hungarian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event):[1][2]
- Men's 20 km walk (Máté Helebrandt)[3]
- Men's 50 km walk (Miklós Srp)[3]
- Women's marathon (Krisztina Papp)[3]
- Women's 20 km walk (Viktória Madarász)[3]
Sailing
Hungary has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[4]
- Men's heavyweight one-person dinghy – Finn (Zsombor Berecz)
Shooting
Hungarian shooters have achieved the following quotas based on their performance at the 2014 ISSF World Shooting Championships.[5]
- Men's 10 m air rifle – 1 quota place (Péter Sidi)
- Women's 25 m pistol – 1 quota place (Renáta Tobai-Sike)
Swimming
Hungarian swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[6][7]
