Hung Jury is the second album by singer, Michel'le, her first since 1989's Michel'le. The album was released on August 24, 1998 for Death Row Records and was produced by Michel'le and Suge Knight. The album was a critical and commercial failure, only making it to #56 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and not producing any charting singles. The two singles that were released were "Hang Tyme" and "Can I Get a Witness?". A video for "Hang Tyme" which was filmed in Paris, France received heavy rotation on BET. Remixes for the single were later released to radio stations including guest appearances from Death Row rappers Tha Realest and Sheeba Blaq. The album was released nearly two years after its intended release date due to poor media response and label issues. After several re-release attempts, the album sold a disappointing 89,000 units in the U.S according to Soundscan, failing to match the success of her Platinum selling debut release.
